This is a beautiful recipe from william sonoma cookbook on bread. This is the only recipe I ever use it just tastes so good. I will see if I can find a link to the recipe to post it.
My original plan was to make a loaf. But my mister, who LOVES muffins and eats one every night with the end of his giant bowl of cereal, asked if I would turn them into muffins. I was skeptical at first since its really not a muffin its a bread. But I actually think it came out better than usual. I used a hand held mixer instead of breaking out the kitchen aid. The recipe calls for a heavy duty stand mixer with the paddle attachment, and usually makes a very dense bread. This turned out moist and fluffy. Amazing right.
Oh and the wood under the muffins. Is this awesome thing my best friend made me. On my request after I found this awesome design for the creation of extra counter space. She and her husband have a wood shop and I showed her the picture and she made it perfectly. Its given me probably almost 5 square extra feet. Which is huge since I live in an apartment and have a tiny kitchen. I will post a better picture of it later :)
